This is intended as a general cartographic reference for petroleum-related fields in the state, and is not a comprehensive listing nor a true areal representation. Individual small polygons resulting from the automated digital mapping process may have been removed from display, potentially affecting the visualization of certain very small fields and/or isolated producing wells. A shapefile of this dataset is available for download at the Illinois Geospatial Data Clearinghouse.
